Mischief Tender

This is the first Fundy Sharpie to get built, proving the all ‘glass keel/stem/lower transom works very well.

Designed for Simon Bolt, of Indonesia, and intended to be used as the tender for his 61’ sloop Mischief. A dinghy garage was sized in Ghost to hold this as well.

The rabbet, or plank/keel joint is seamless outside. Now imagine a bigger boat, like Mischief, where: the floors and full bulkheads would tie the keel and planking together, the centreboard case (like here) would be all ‘glass and become part of the keel itself, ballast would be inside, rudder and shaft tubes would be integral, as could be tanks and all through-hull areas, and a keel-cooler could be recessed into the keel. Simple, strong, rot-proof, and clean.

Named after a Wednesday night racing series in Lunenberg, Nova Scotia. The Tern crew would like to make a classic-looking big-sailed rig for the Mischief Tender.
