Samson Enterprises
In Arichat, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia is the diversified marine yard of Samson Enterprises - builders of both husky, and sleek ‘Northumberland’-style fishing and cruising boats. I’ve done a lot of work with Samson’s over the years, and though it’s mostly just to complete drawings for Transport Canada approval or for bid packages I’m always impressed by their creativity and attention to detail. That they’re always busy in a time of economic downturn and in a place that some feel is the middle of nowhere tells us they’re doing something right.
