Southwest Retro Marine Trawler 25

This versatile 25-footer is to be built by Southwest Fiberglass Products on the “French Shore” - an Acadian area of Western Nova Scotia - and will be sold in the ‘States by Retro Marine.  The hull is an evolution of the able inshore fishing and Rock Weed harvesting boats of the area.  These boats are most noted for their ability to move huge loads efficiently, and in rough conditions when necessary.

Trawler General Arrangement

Two versions of this hull are in development: Trawler and Pilothouse.  The Pilothouse features a large cockpit, helm and copilot seats, galley, head, and a vee berth.

The Trawler 25 features a large double berth forward, 3-piece washroom, 3-seat wheelhouse, and spacious aft cabin with a large dinette and galley.  Natural light and ventilation are excellent, and there is full headroom throughout. The small cockpit aft is functional and cosy.

An efficient and able hull
